Talented young Scots make GB team

Scottish cyclists Kevin Stewart and Callum Skinner have been selected for a youthful Great Britain squad for the UEC European Championships in Belarus later this month.

Stewart, the 2008 British junior keirin champion, who hails from Dundee, along with Skinner is a member of the British Cycling Olympic Development Programme.

The duo are members of the 27-strong squad heading to Minsk for the five-day competition which gets underway on July 15.

Also making the trip is Olympic gold medallist Jason Kenny, who was part of the victorious team sprint trio in Beijing along with Sir Chris Hoy and Jamie Staff, as well as Olympic bronze medallist Steven Burke.

Anna Blyth, the 2006 world junior keirin champion, and David Daniell a two-time junior team sprint world champion, both of whom compete for GB at the World Championships in March, have also got the nod.
