Scottish cyclist picking the brains of Sir Chris Hoy

Dundee teenager Kevin Stewart is picking the brains of triple Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy as he plots his path to London 2012.

The 17-year-old, will join Sir Chris at a June training camp in Cottbus, Germany as he steps up his preparation for the Junior World Championships in Moscow in August.

Stewart joined the Olympic Development Programme last year and will move south to the Manchester Velodrome in September to train full-time.

And Stewart admits there is only one man he is looking to emulate as the countdown to London begins.

"I feel I have a good chance of picking up medals this summer," said Stewart.

"Chris Hoy has obviously put the sport of cycling on the map in Scotland - he has done so well and there is no reason why I can't do it myself.

"Getting the exposure for what I am doing and how I am getting on is really helpful.

"It is great that myself and other guys are getting rewarded for our talent and are going to such training camps.

"I also might get the chance to compete in the senior Great Britain team for the World Cups during the winter which would be amazing."
