Next round of XC World Cup held in Quebec
After the excitement of the Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William last month and the recent World Championships in Italy, Scotland's leading mountain-bikers are preparing to fly to Canada to contest the 6th round of the cross-country World Cup and 4th in the downhill discipline.
The likes of cross country specialists Ross Creber are expected to join a strong British downhill contingent, headed up by Gee Atherton, the 2008 World Championship gold medallist for the latest round in the ski resort of Mont-St-Anne from 26th-27th July.
Just 30 miles from Quebec, the Canadian resort is the only mountain-bike venue to have hosted either a World Cup or World Championship every year since the first such major competitions were staged in 1991.
