Aileen McGlynn selects new tandem partner for Paralympic World Cup
Glasgow's Aileen McGlynn will have a new tandem partner at next month's BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.
McGlynn will join forces with fellow Scot Vicky Begg but insists it's not the end of her successful double act with Wales' Ellen Hunter.
The pair were double Paralympic gold medalllists in Beijing last year and also won gold in Athens four years earlier.
McGlynn, 35, who is registered blind, began track cycling after being inspired by Sir Chris Hoy during the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
Begg is an elite triathlete and a fellow member of McGlynn's Johnstone Wheelers cycling club in Glasgow.
One of the reasons McGlynn is trialing a new Scottish partner is her determination to compete at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, when her tandem time trial event will be part of the programme.
