David Millar withdraws after disappointing start to Giro d'Italia
Scotland's David Millar has withdrawn from the Giro d'Italia.
Millar described his debut in the race last year as a 'nightmare' and his feelings won't have changed this time around.
He was targeting a team time trial win in Venice but settled for second while he also disappointed in the this week's individual time trial, finishing 31st.
Millar failed to complete a difficult day in the Apennines, which took the pelton across a series of category climbs in searing heat.
