Millar finishes second during seventh Tour of Spain stage
David Millar maintained his impressive end to the season grabbing second place in the pouring rain during the Tour of Spain time trial seventh stage.
The 32-year-old Garmin-Slipstream rider was top of the leader board throughout the day after coming home in 37:13minutes but had to settle for second.
Switzerland’s Fabian Cancellara was the only rider the break the 37 minute barrier in the 30km stage through Valencia edging Millar back to second.
Cancellara leads the general classification with Belgian Tom Boonen in second, David Herrero of Spain in third and Millar tenth.
