Creber and Cathro gear up for World's
19 year-old Ross Creber, the Edinburgh based rider who placed 73rd at last weekend's World Cup in Fort William, will be hoping to further improve his performance when he goes for gold in the U-23 category at the World Championships in Vale-di-Sole Italy on Friday.
 
Creber is part of the British U-23 cross-country cycling team and along with Ian Bibby (37th in Fort William) and David Fletcher will aim to impress in Italy as he pursues his long-term ambition of competing at the London 2012 Olympics and winning gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
 
Oli Beckingsale, a 2006 Commonwealth Games silver medallist and 9th in Fort William last week will join fellow English rider Liam Killeen (2006 CG gold medallist and 26th last week) in the men's elite cross country race on Sunday.
 
On Saturday, Ben Cathro from Oban and 17th at the first World Cup race of the season in Slovenia should be among the British riders in action when the downhill gets underway.
