Scotland's junior men's team qualify for World Championships
Scotland’s men have successfully qualified for the World Junior Championships after claiming victory in the Copenhagen European Challenge on Wednesday.
The team, skipped by Dunkeld’s Glen Muirhead, will travel to Vancouver for the event in March following a 5-1 over rivals France in the final.
Accompanied by a line-up of Greg Drummond, Scott MacLeod and Scott Andrews, alternate Michael Goodfellow, Muirhead’s team were charged with winning the event after a disappointing performance in last year’s worlds.
In the end the squad breezed to victory, undefeated all week before streaking in front of the French after an even start.
Following the final, France lost a play-off to Russia, the runners-up in Scotland’s qualifying section, meaning the Russians will join the Scots in Vancouver.
