Young Scots are fighting fit

Scotland's teenage talent continues to impress
Names like Scottish Saltire and Scotland stalwarts Craig Wright, Dougie Lockhart, Colin Smith and Ryan Watson (captain) are familiar to Scottish cricket fans. Over the years such players have helped raise the international performances and profile of Scottish cricket around the world.
But with the Scotland U-17 squad lifting the European Championship trophy last season, and the Scotland U-19 squad enjoying an unbeaten pre-season tour in South Africa before returning to already hit at least two leading premier Division clubs for six in the SNCL, it's clear there are youngsters coming through the revamped Cricket Scotland system determined to emulate their senior colleagues and don a coveted Saltires shirt.
And with the domestic season now in full swing, it seems that every week a talented youngster is stepping up to the crease to make his mark in the sport.
On Sunday, it was the turn of 16 year-old Ollie Hairs when he played a key role in helping Premier Division side Grange crush Freuchie 248 for 7 in their Scottish Cup tie in Edinburgh.
A composed Hairs hit 40 for Grange to help his club progress into the second round.
Grange also now lead the SNCL Premier Division title race after Ayr lost to Heriot's on Saturday.
