Watts takes over captaincy from Watson
After a thrashing at the hands of Freddie Flintoff and his Lancashire team-mates last Sunday in Edinburgh, the Scottish Saltires head south on Saturday seeking to restore pride and gain maximum points against Derbyshire on Sunday and Flintoff's men on Monday in the Friends Provident Trophy.
With regular captain, Ryan Watson awaiting the imminent birth of his first child, Fraser Watts (Carlton) takes up the mantle of captaining the national side for the first time in his career.
The Saltires squad will also mark the return of former captain Craig Wright (Greenock) and Warwickshire's Navdeep Poonia.
The weekend will also see the Scotland U-19 squad again in SNCL action when they meet Ferguslie.
The youngsters, who last week suffered a heavy defeat to Poloc in their debut appearance in the Scottish National Cricket League (SNCL) will also play Durham Academy in a 50-over encounter on Wednesday.
That match will see Scott Redhead, who plays for Durham Academy, swap shirts to play for his country as part of the Scotland U-19 squad.
