Senior cricketer's across Scotland will have a chance to celebrate the longest day in style this year thanks to an innovative promotion by drinks giant Magners.
 
For the cider company is offering a case of Magners pint bottles to any cricketer who succeeds in taking five wickets and / or scoring a half-century during competitive play on Midsummer's Day (21st June). 
 
Reaching such a target promises to be thirsty work but based on the innings recorded by some teams last weekend, it's a target easily within reach of many talented bowlers and batsmen.

Teams eligible for the prize haul include those in the Premier, 1st and 2nd Division of the SNCL, the East League Division 1, the Western Union Division 1 and the Border League.
