Lockhart back as Scotland ring the changes for Intercontinental Cup clash with Ireland
Scotland have rung the changes for next week’s Intercontinental Cup clash against Ireland, with Dougie Lockhart returning after a year in international exile.
The 33-year-old Glaswegian’s last turned out for the Scots last July when he smashed 151 in their comprehensive innings victory over Canada in the Intercontinental Cup.
Lockhart hasn’t featured since but will make his return in place of injured keeper Simon Smith while Gordon Goudie has recovered from a shoulder injury to replace Calum MacLeod.
All-rounder Stewart Chalmers will make his four-day debut at the expense of Jan Stander who is also injured and Ross Lyons is selected ahead of Moneeb Iqbal.
Gordon Drummond will again skipper the Scots in Aberdeen as they look to build on their opening victory over Canada.
