Neil McCallum hits unbeaten 79 to guide Scotland to victory
Scotland's Neil McCallum admitted he is finally starting to produce the goods with the bat after he helped tie the two-match series with Canada one all.
The hard-hitting batsman smashed 12 boundaries in an unbeaten 79 from 66 balls as the Saltires achieved their victory target of 251 with more than two overs to spare.
Gordon Drummond had led the way with the ball, recording figures of 4-41 in the visitors total of 250-9.
But captain Gavin Hamilton laid the foundation in the reply with a patient 59 before McCallum and Ryan Watson (74) saw Scotland home.
"I thought we bowled and fielded much better and stuck to our plans and then gave a pretty solid display with the bat," said McCallum.
"From a personal point of view that's the best I've played since I got a couple of centuries in South Africa.
"It's always nice to get a few runs and I'm enjoying my cricket again but it's also good to see some youngsters coming into the side and doing well.
"That keeps you on your toes as one of the more established players and I know I've got to keep on scoring runs."
