Calum MacLeod dons the whites for England as Ashes test replacement
Stepps cricketer Calum MacLeod donned the Three Lions of England as he played a starring role in the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston.
The 20-year-old was called in as an emergency fielder on the fifth and final day as England tried in vain to bowl out the Australia attack and the match was drawn.
MacLeod, who has played for Scotland against England, has been in impressive form for county side Warwickshire this season.
And dad Donald said: “Calum is as Scottish as you can get but appearing in England colours was definitely a dream come true.
“He has already played for Scotland but to be involved in front of a capacity crowd and millions of TV viewers for England was great.
“It was a thrill for the whole family when he went on to the ground to field. It was a tremendous boost for him and for the whole of Scottish cricket.”
