Hamilton targets turnaround in form

Scotland captain Gavin Hamilton believes the Saltires can only benefit from their hectic home schedule of four Friends Provident Trophy matches over the next week.

The Saltires, who have lost their four opening matches, will welcome Middlesex, Warwickshire, Kent and Somerset to the Grange as they bid to turnaround their season.

Hamilton's side have yet to find top form but the former Yorkshire all-rounder insists the return of John Blain, Craig Wright and Gordon Drummond will give his side a huge boost.

"The season hasn't really gone to plan for us so far but I'm really looking forward to this run of games," said Hamilton.

"We've not played enough cricket together this season and haven't had any continuity at all but that should change now.

"We've struggled to get seven or eight of the same team together nevermind ten so I'm looking forward to getting players back and together for a prolonged period.

"We will also have a much stronger squad together for these games. John, Craig and Gordon should all be back for Thursday's game with Middlesex and they are three big players for us."
