The British Lead Climbing Championships take place at Blackpool Towers in a fortnight's time (24th/25th May) when 15 year-old Jonathan Stocking will be going for gold.
The 15 year-old climbing star from Kilwinning only started climbing three years ago and is already a member of the British Climbing Team.
In 2007, he walked or should that be climbed away with the British junior title.
And despite facing stiff competition in Blackpool, he's confident of securing consecutive wins on the vertical, artificial walls at the championships organised by the British Mountaineering Council (BMC).
"I hope I can win the Brits again. I'm probably the best young (indoor) climber in Scotland though obviously there are a lot of older guys who are better than me," said Stocking who will turn 16 in February.
However, before the Brits he may also compete at the IFSC European Youth Series in Prague next week.
It's all part of a plan to ensure he's in top shape for making his debut at the World Youth Climbing Championships in Sydney, Australia in August.
That trip will be part funded by grant-aid from the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS) and the Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust.
His mum, Lorraine, holds down three jobs to pay for the rest of his training and events!
