Campbell Walsh, the 2004 Olympic silver medallist from Bridge of Allan and named last month as one of the trio of Scots who will compete for gold at this summer's Olympics, will compete in the first World Cup of the season in Prague a week on Friday (19th).
30 year-old Walsh, who won a bronze on the Czech course at the 2006 World Championships is currently hard in training on the white-water Olympic course in Beijing.
However, Walsh has now been forced to modify his World Cup schedule and Olympic preparations after it became clear that the only subsequent training dates made available by the Chinese authorities to train on the Beijing course are those that will clash with planned World Cup's in Tacen and Augsburg (Germany) this summer.
