Walsh third in Slovakia

Campbell Walsh continued his build-up to next month's World Championships in Spain with a third place at the Slovak Open in Bratislava.

The Athens Olympic silver medallist was fifth in qualifying after making a couple of big mistakes.

He improved to third place in his semi-final on Sunday and he was happier with his final run which confirmed him in third place being winner Peter Kauzer (Slovenia).

"Kauzer proved yet again that he is the man to beat in kayak this year with a 94 in the final," Walsh said, "But I was pleased with the weekend's work."
