Walsh prepares in Poland
Scotland's Olympic silver medallist Campbell Walsh has been training in Krakow, Poland, in a bid to make an impact at the forthcoming European Championships.

Walsh, who has clinched his place in the British team for Beijing, has been "pleasantly surprised" by the Krakow course which will host the first major international competition of the year.

"I was not particularly looking forward to it as all reports I had about the course included the words "flat", "slow" and "physical" - not my kind of water!" he said.

"However, I have been more than pleasantly surprised - the course is really very good and I've been loving the training!

"The sunny weather probably helps too! Apparently the course has been changed a lot since 2007, and all for the better.

"It flows well, there are three drops on the bottom half with very nice waves for crossing, and there are lots of fast ups everywhere! But one thing has not changed - it is still quite physical!"
