Florence eases to victory as Walsh faulters in Premier Division races
Olympic silver medallists David Florence and Campbell Walsh had contrasting fortunes at the Premier Divison races at Grandtully.
Florence won the Canadian C1 title with ease finishing six seconds ahead of second-placed Mark Proctor.
But Walsh could finish only third in the kayak event, won by Huw Swetman with junior Tom Brady taking second.
"I had quite a poor, scrappy, first run," said Walsh, "My second run felt far better, and I was surprised to have only gone 0.2 seconds faster - oh well, sometimes runs are like that!"
