Boxer Anderson set for November return

Boxer Kenny Anderson is set to make his long-awaited ring comeback at the end of next month – but his opponent has yet to be confirmed.

The 26-year-old has spent time away from the ring while he fought to clear his name over an attempted murder charge.

The charge was eventually dropped allowing the super-middleweight star to return under the tutelage of former WBA featherweight champion Barry McGuigan.

“I’m hugely excited to be involved now in Kenny ring career as I think that he can go all the way to the top in world boxing terms,” said McGuigan.

“Before he tackles his British title eliminator opponent Paul David in Glasgow in January, Anderson needs to get rid of ring rust.”

And Anderson added: “I’m really excited about my association with Barry. He knows how to fire me up and my big aim is to make up for all the lost career time I’ve had.”
