Lee McAllister in line for European shot if he wins on Saturday
Aberdeen assassin Lee McAllister is in line for a bumper pay day, if he can see off Charlie King in his home city on Saturday night.
McAllister puts his Commonwealth lightweight title on the line this weekend with the manager of European champion Anthony Mezaache, Bernard Roos, in town to run the rule over the Scot.
Roos has agreed in principle to let McAllister and his man fight for the European crown in Scotland before the end of the year in a contest that will carry a six-figure purse.
And McAllister’s manager Tommy Gilmour revealed a showdown with Mezaache would open the door to further titles for his fighter.
"If Lee doesn't get his tactics right it could be a nightmare. But the incentive to win stretches beyond the European title,” said Gilmour.
"If Lee beats King and then Mezaache we would be talking about the ultimate showdown where McAllister, the Commonwealth and European champion, would take on John Murray, the British title holder, with everything going on the line."
110sport.tv will broadcast the fight and the undercard online, costing £3.99.
