Glasgow Rocks stroll to comeback win against Everton Tigers
Glasgow Rocks came from behind to secure their fourth win of the season against Everton Tigers at Kelvin Hall on Sunday.
The Scottish team were on a low ebb after Saturday’s overtime loss to Cheshire Jets and found themselves staring defeat in the face again, 43-33 down at half-time.
To make matters worse, player-coach Sterling Davis was sent to the stands just before the interval for two technical fouls leaving the Scottish team with it all to do to turn the game around.
But the Rocks fought hard and managed to upset the odds with Mike Copeland proving lethal around the basket with 21 points including 12 rebounds.
Lead scorer Rob Yanders and Jessie Sapp also contributed 21 points each as the Rocks took over the game, ultimately running out comfortable 84-69 victors.
