Rocks coach Davis lures Steve Parillon back to Kelvin Hall
Glasgow coach Sterling Davis has lured guard Steve Parillon back to the Rocks as his squad for the new season begins to take shape at the Kelvin Hall.
The 31-year-old played under former Rocks coach Steve Swanson five years ago before jumping ship and ending up in Puerto Rico with Criollos de Caguas and Bruios de Guayama last year.
Davis has already snapped up American duo Mike Copeland and Jessie Sapp and Lithuanian centre Paulius Packevicius this pre-season and admitted the signature of Parillon adds depth to his growing squad.
“We are excited to bring in some experience from the league in Steve – he has played in this country on multiple occasions so he knows what to expect,” said Davis.
“With the young and unfamiliar faces we are bringing in this season we can definitely use a guy like Steve to give these guys some awareness of what to expect moving forward.”
Glasgow tip-off the new season against BBL champions Newcastle on September 27.
