Glasgow Rocks boss Sterling Davis admitted the signing of American duo Mike Copeland and Jessie Sapp will be pivotal come their season opener against Newcastle.

Davis spotted forward Copeland while at a scouting camp in Las Vegas while Sapp joins the Scottish outfit from Georgetown Hoyas.

The Rocks have also added Lithuanian centre Paulius Packevicius and Davis insists his squad is taking shape at the right time.

“Mike is an athletic guy who is dangerous in the paint as well as hacing a good shot from outside,” said Davis.

“Jessie is a very athletic strong guard that I feel I will be able to utilise at both the one and two positions.

“And Paulius is a guy that will give us some presence on the inside. He has that typical European big presence on the court.”
