Great Britain coach Chris Finch has included Scotland's Robert Archibald in his final 12-man squad for the EuroBasket finals in Poland.

The influential Scot – who plies his trade in Spain – heads up the British roster alongside fit-again Kieron Achara, Joel Freeland and Houston Rocket Pops Mensah-Bonsu.

Archibald and co. begin their campaign against Slovenia knowing they have to impress with the EuroBasket finals going a long way to determining whether GB will compete at the London 2012 Olympics.

NBA stars Luol Deng and Ben Gordon both won’t feature but Finch believes Archibald and the rest of his team-mates are capable of holding their own in Eastern Europe.

“We have a lot of depth up front in the big guys and that will be the strength we need to play to,” said Finch.

“For the first time recently we have had a chance to have our full squad train together and everyone is in the right frame of mind to compete.”
