Susan storms into quarters

Hughes in the hunt after making last eight in Prague
Scotland's Susan Hughes romped through two rounds to reach the quarter-finals of the Czech International in Prague.
Seeded No.3, the Scottish Champion beat local hope Martina Benesova 21-17 21-16 in the opening round and then had an even easier 21-8 21-10 victory over Russia's Anastasia Panushkina.
Teenager Kieran Merrilees, who had come through the qualifying round, reached the last 16 in the men's event with a 21-14 21-18 victory over France's Mathieu Le Ying Ping.
But Gordon Thomson, who had also survived three rounds of qualifying, couldn't pull off an upset in his opening tie.
The former Scottish Champion went out 18-21 15-21 to the Czech No.7 seed, Jan Vondra.
In the quarter- finals, Hughes should face a real test against the Dutch No.5 seed, Rachel Van Cutsen.
