

Susan Egelstaff seeded third in women's singles for Bulgarian Open
Susan Egelstaff and Kieran Merrilees are the two Scottish seeds in the Bulgarian International Championships in Sofia.
Egelstaff is the No.3 ranked player in the women’s singles and will open her bid for the title against Alesia Zaktsav, from Belarus.
Merrilees is the No.8 seed in the men’s singles and his first match will be against one of the home favourites, Stilyan Makeski.
Scottish Champion Gordon Thomson is the third Scot in action and he has a tough first round match in the men’s draw against the Swedish No.3 seed, Henri Hiskainen.
Egeslstaff is in the same half of the draw as long time rival Petya Nedelcheva. Petya is the long time Bulgarian No.1 and is tipped to win her home title.
