Three Scots to compete in Danish Super Series
Scottish singles champion Susan Egelstaff and doubles specialists Jillie Cooper and Emma Mason are the three Scots in the Denmark Open Super Series in Odense.
Egelstaff, the world No.30, opens against the No.7 seed from India, Salina Nehwal, and it will be one of the final warm-ups for the Glasgow 27-year-old before the Bank of Scotland Scottish International Championships at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall from November 18-22.
In the doubles, Emma and England’s Heather Olver, who reached the quarter-finals of this month’s Dutch Open, face New Zealand’s Danielle Barry and Donna Halliday in the first round of the women’s doubles.
Jillie and England’s Mariana Agathangelou, who will be defending champions at the Klevin Hall, also have drawn an unseeded duo in the first round in Germany’s Nicole Grether and Canadian Charmaine Reid.
