Alan Oliver gets ready for World Disabled Championships
Alloa’s Alan Oliver is a badminton player on a mission ahead of this week’s World Disabled Championships in Seoul, Korea.
Oliver will compete in the singles and men’s doubles with England’s Anthony Foster.
The Edinburgh Napier University student is Scotland’s sole representative in his debut World Championships.
Oliver captured individual bronze and doubles silver at the 2008 European Championships – but the 22-year-old insists the best is yet to come.
“I’ve been concentrating really hard on my badminton of late and playing at a world class level will hopefully open up new opportunities for me,” said Oliver.
