Cooper invited to join GB's best at national training centre
Jillie Cooper, one of Scotland's brightest young talents, has been invited to spend the next two weeks at the National Training Centre at Milton Keynes.
Already pinpointed as one of the potential British players for the London 2012 Olympics, 20-year-old Jillie could be spending more time down south over the forthcoming season.
"I've already done three weeks of our 12-week training block in Scotland and it's been great," said the doubles specialist. "I've been working a lot with Dan Travers (Scotland's Performance Director) and really feel the benefits.
"It will be good to get another solid block of training in Milton Keynes and it's a great opportunity to go south and work with the top English players."
Jillie enjoyed a career perk last week when she met the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. "It was the 50th anniversary of the Inverclyde Sports Centre and the Queen actually spoke to me and asked about my badminton," she said. "I was so nervous, but also felt very honoured."
