Imogen Bankier links well with new partner to progress in Super Seires
Glasgow’s Imogen Bankier scored an impressive comeback win alongside England’s Donna Kellogg in an experimental women’s doubles pairing at the Aviva Singapore Super Series.
In the first round, Bankier and Kellogg, a two-time Olympian and one of Britain’s most established stars, defeated India’s Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa 20-22 21-10 21-12.
But Bankier and England’s Robert Blair failed to make the second round of the mixed doubles. The British couple lost 14-21 18-21 to the No.2 seeds from Malaysia, Yong Dae Lee and Hyo Jung Lee.
