

Kirsty Gilmour seeded second for European under-17s
Kirsty Gilmour has been named as second seed in the girls’ singles at this weekend’s European Under 17 Championships in Medvode in Slovenia .
The 16-year-old, who has already won the Langenfield Cp, the Bank of Scotland Under-19 Scottish title and the UK School Games this year, is second favourite behind Spain 's Carolina Marin Martin.
For Gilmour, it will be a final warm-up before appearing for a second time at the Bank of Scotland International Championships in Glasgow from November 18-22. Gilmour is entered in both singles and doubles in Glasgow.
Scotland have two other players seeded in Medvode with Lewis Gallacher (Kilmarnock) and Caitlin Pringle (Glasgow) the joint 9th seeds in the mixed doubles while unseeded Bank of Scotland International Under 19 women's doubles champions Pringle and Emma Cook (Mauchline) will be a danger pair in their event.
Scotland will first of all compete in the team event from November 7-11 before the individual events take place from November 11-15.111
