Scotland's Jillie Cooper reached her first ever final on the European circuit, although it wasn't in the event she expected after upside down results in the semi-finals at the Spanish Open in Madrid.
Seeded No.2 in the mixed doubles with Renfrew's Watson Briggs, the Edinburgh 20-year-old lost 16-21 15-21 to Indonesia's Rendra Wijaya and Meiliana Jauhari.
But, in the women's doubles, she joined Belgium's Nathalie Descamps in a shock 21-15 21-12 win over the German pair of Franziska Burhert and Carla Nelte.
It is the first time that Cooper, whose regular Scottish partner, Linda Sloan, is out through injury, and Descamps have played together.
