Jillie jumps the rankings and gains extra funding
Edinburgh's Jillie Cooper, who has reached the top 50 in the world in mixed doubles with Renfrew's Watson Briggs, has been rewarded for a great season by moving up a couple of funding bands in the GB set-up.
She is also looking forward to an exciting new partnership in women's doubles with Mariana Agathangelou, the English 19-year-old who reached the final of last year's Bank of Scotland Centenary Championships with Gabby White.
"I'll be spending a lot of the summer down at Milton Keynes (at the National Training Centre)," said 20-year-old Jillie. "Next year, Mariana and I will be playing on the European circuit and in a lot of the Grand Prix Tournaments.
"I've moved from the bottom band of F up to band D in the GB scheme which is great.
"Mariana and I are around the same age so I've known her since junior days. I think it will be really good for my game to get the chance to train with all the top British squad players at Milton Keynes.
"But I also want to keep my involvement with Dan Travers (Scotland's High Performance coach) and the Scottish Institute of Sport.
"Dan has really helped my game and the back-up facilities in Scotland are fantastic.
