Bowman suffers Japanese knock-out

Andy Bowman bows out of Austrian International
Andy Bowman and Wales’ Marty Lewis won a marathon quarter-final against Himokatsu Hashimoto and Moriyasha Hirata at the Austrian International in Vienna.
But another Japanese blocked the British pair’s road to the final.
In the quarters, Bowman and Lewis, who have won the Belgian Open and the Welsh International this season, defeated Hashimoto and Moriyasha 28-26 19-21 21-19 in a match that stretched to over an hour.
But Yoshiteru Hirobe and Hajime Korniyama exacted revenge against the No.2 seeds. The unseeded pair won 23-21 24-22 in another long encounter.
