Glasgow’s Imogen Bankier and Edinburgh-born Robert Blair hit form to knock out the No.8 seeds, Thailand’s Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thoungthongkam, and advance to the mixed doubles quarter-finals at the Djarum Indonesia Super Series.

The unseeded British pair had to go the full distance, but ran out winners 21-19 11-21 21-11 and now face the No.2 seeds from Malaysia, Yong Dae Lee and Hyo Jung Lee.
 
In the women’s doubles, Bankier and English Olympian Donna Kellogg couldn’t deliver a similar shock. They lost 11-21 10-21 to the Chinese No. 6 seeds, Yawen Zhang and Ting Ting Zhao.
