Nisbet more interested in winning medals than modelling contracts
Scottish high jumper Jayne Nisbet maintains she won't permanently swap the catwalk for the runway despite her growing modelling career.
New York talent agency IMG were reported to be interested in taking Nisbet on their books but the 20-year-old is only interested in flying high next year in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Despite only taking up athletics four years ago, Nisbett has dominated the both the triple and high jumping events in Scotland and the only colour she's interested in wearing is gold next summer.
He said: "I am pretty much guaranteed to be on the team and I really don't see any reason why I shouldn't be in with a great chance of winning a medal in India.
"I love modelling and the contrast between doing the two things because they are so different, but my athletics career will always come first.
"I always like to look my best. I even make a special effort when I know there are going to be television cameras there.
"I have put so much time and effort to get where I am in athletics that I don't think I could just walk away from it."
