Lee McConnell's early season form continues with impressive 400m outing in Germany
Scot Lee McConnell has continued her impressive start to the season with another victory.
The former European bronze medallist set the Commonwealth Games qualifying standard in the 200m last week.
And she achieved the same for her favoured 400m in Germany, beating British team-mate and World Championships silver medallist Nicola Sanders in the process at the Pfingstmeeting in Rehlingen.
O'Connell's time of 51.52 secs established her at the top of the 2009 British rankings for the one lap distance, with Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu expected to make her seasonal debut at 400m in Paris next week.
However, McConnell missed out on UKA's World Championship qualifying standard by just two hundredths of a second.
