Olympic legend Seb Coe to hold coaching session with Scottish runners
Budding Scottish runners will be able to pick the brains of double Olympic gold medallist Lord Sebastian Coe on October 31 in Glasgow.
Lord Coe – who won 1500m gold in 1980 and 1984 – will lead a Bank of Scotland Endurance Squad session before being guest of honour at the Scottish Athletics Annual Awards Dinner.
October 31 celebrates 1000 days to go until the London 2012 Olympics and Lord Coe - now Chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games – can’t wait for his trip to Scotland.
He said: “I am looking forward to this visit and to meeting the Bank of Scotland Squad coaches and athletes.
“Scotland has a unique double opportunity with London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 now on the horizon.
“I am happy to do everything I can to help the athletes, and those working with them, to rise to that opportunity.”
