It's hectic times for Scotland's world junior champion Kirsty McWilliam. This week, she is competing the Mazda London Triathlon - and then she is off to Beijing as part of the new Olympic Ambition 2012 Programme.

A group of athletes that have been identified as British Olympic team members for London 2012, and Kirsty will be travelling to this year's Games to soak up the atmosphere, watch the triathletes in action and really get in the mood to work even harder over the next four years.

Kirsty would love to go to China on the high of another great performance at a London triathlon that is the biggest in the world.

"It will be my first senior standard event (1500m swim, 40k bike and 10k run), double the distances that we cover as juniors," she said. "I'm really looking forward to it.

"I'm also really looking forward to the Olympic trip - and then I'm home for anther couple of races in Strathclyde at the end of this month. It is going to be busy, but also good fun."
