Pistorius sets sights on gold at Falkirk Cup
Triple Beijing gold medallist Oscar Pistorius insists he has got unfinished business in Scotland after announcing he will race at next month's Falkirk Cup.
The 22-year-old, who had both legs amputated below the knee when he was 11 months old - made history by winning the 100, 200 and 400m crowns at the 2008 Paralympic Games.
But after finishing in an unfamiliar third in the 200m at the Scottish Senior Championships on June 21 Pistorius will be a man on a mission at the Grangeouth event on 26 August.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Scotland earlier this summer,? said Pistorius.
"Especially picking up a bronze medal over 200m at the Scottish Championships at Pitreavie.
"My only regret was that I didn't manage to sign off with a win, but the 400m gives me an opportunity to put that right.
"The Falkirk Cup is a full international match and the opposition will be tough.
"I have got such a good reception in Scotland and I'm really looking forward to returning.
"I hope that some of the athletes and coaches that I met at the Bank of Scotland squad sessions will come along and give me a shout. I'll really give it a go for the win."
