Chris Baillie confident of more Commonwealth success
Clydebank's Chris Baillie is confident he can return to Commonwealth Games medals podium medal in Delhi next year.
The 29-year-old broke the 110m hurdles Scottish record of his late brother Ross in the heats of the Melbourne Games before claiming a surprise silver in the final.
Baillie has since teamed up with old mentor Malcolm Arnold - who also coached former world record holder Colin Jackson, and believes Arnold's experience will stand him in good stead.
"I don't see why I can't defend my Commonwealth medal. I'm not per cent at the moment but I never am, I've just got a few niggling things,2 he said.
"I'm with the best coach I've ever been with and if I stay injury free I could be in a position next year. As Malcolm has proved over his career, he's capable of producing great hurdlers.
"Hopefully I can get there but it's going to be hard I'm going to have to run faster again than I did four years ago but it's not a case of something I can't do.
2I know I can run these times, it's just a case of getting my body in the right place.2
