Wolves still alive

Edinburgh Wolves kept alive their hopes of making the play-offs with a narrow 13-12 win over Clyde Valley Blackhawks.

Running back Richard Anderson was the stand-out player but it was Paul Elder and Stu Galloway who scored the points.

Wolves now travel to Chester on August 16 knowing that a win could secure a play-off berth.

Coach Don Edmonston said: "We've had a tough run of games playing both Glasgow twice and having a second game against the unbeaten Titans.

"But against Blackhawks the whole team were able to put those games behind us and held together in a nail biter of a game.

"This was a total team performance and every
unit worked hard to give us the win."
