Wolves in the hunt

Edinburgh Wolves face Manchester Titans in their final regular season game this weekend, still clinging to hope that they can make the play-offs.

Wolves need to win and hope that Lancashire lose to winless Cheshire Romans in their final match.

The Edinburgh side are confident of keeping their half of the bargain but know it would take a major upset for Romans to seal the deal.

“It would be fantastic to keep playing past Saturday, but we're only focused on one thing this week - beating Manchester,” said coach Don Edmonston.

“We've scored more points against them then any other team we've faced this season – 44 – and we know they'll be looking to exact some revenge at home.

“But If we can repeat our dominance on the offensive side of the ball and stay focused on defence, we can finish on a high, whether we make the play-offs or not.”
