The Edinburgh Wolves pulled off an impressive victory away at Chester Romans as the city side travelled south of the border for the first time in this year's British American Football League season.
Quarterback Campbell Lewis threw for 138 yards and added a touchdown pass, while first-year running back Paul Elder punished the Romans on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and scoring his first touchdown.
Wolves General Manager Doug Adamson was delighted with the win: "It was a great team effort," he said. "We played to our gameplan and everyone performed well, so we're pleased with the result."
But the Wolves aren't taking their good for for granted, as they prepare for a difficult away match against Lancashire Wolverines on June 1.
"Our confidence is growing as things come together but we're not resting on that. Lancashire are a tough team. The Wolves have now shown what they can do and if we work hard then we can come away with the win," added Adamson.
The Wolves are currently lying in third place in the Northern Confernece which is led by the Glasgow Tigers who did not have a match this weekend.
