Scot Lawrence Tynes currently leads the NFL scoring charts after kicking a couple of field goals in New York Giants' defeat by New Orleans Saints at the weekend.

The Greenock-born kicker has amassed 64 points to lead the charts by nine points from New England Patriot Stephen Gostkowski.

Tynes made his longest kick of the season - from 49 yards - in the first half against the Saints and added another from 38 yards.

But he was unfortunate three minutes from time when his onside kick was picked up and returned for the clinching touchdown for the Saints.

Tynes suffered a stuttering start to the season when he missed three field goals in his opening four matches but hopes he has now turned the corner.
