Tynes on track

Lawrence Tynes still harbours hopes of reaching another Super Bowl after the New York Giants crushed Washington Redskins 45-12 to keep their season alive.

The Greenock-born kicker nailed a 38-yard field goal and also made all six of his points after touchdowns to keep the Giants' hopes of making the play-offs alive.

But Dallas Cowboys also won - handing New Orleans Saints their first defeat - to keep the pressure on the Giants.

Tynes' team have no margin for error as they reach a critical point in their season after making a solid 5-0 start.
