Tynes hopeful of game time as NFL season reaches its climax
Scot Lawrence Tynes is hopeful he will claim worldwide headlines again as the NFL season reaches its climax.
The New York Giants' kicker has been struggling for game time after losing out to veteran John Carney after picking up a pre-season knee injury.
Head coach Tom Coughlin has opted to stick with Carney in recent weeks but refuses to confirm he will have the job throughout the NFL play-offs.
Last season, Tynes gained fame after making an overtime kick-off against Green Bay Packers that sent the Giants to the Super Bowl.
He went on to pick up a Super Bowl right - the first Scot to do so - and he hopes for a second ring in the next few weeks.
