Lawrence Tynes' hopes of reaching another Super Bowl are fading after the New York Giants lost their fourth successive match in the NFL.
The Giants went down 21-20 to San Diego Chargers as they gave up a touchdown just 21 seconds from the end.
Greenock-born kicker Tynes made both of his field goal attempts as he showed he had recovered from an uncertain spell at the start of the season.
But the Giants, who won their first five matches, are now 5-4 for the season and have slipped to third in their division.
